  Five stars in every way. The two of us arrived on a Saturday evening without reservations. We were told that the place was fully reserved for the evening. We were crushed and at a loss for what to do. We waited on the couch, deliberating our options. After about 20 minutes, the restaurant was able to work us in! (Note that we were really lucky. A number of people came in after us but were turned away.) Service was fantastic, too. We ordered right away and didn’t have a long wait for food and drinks. My friend and I had different glasses of Georgian wine; I had Alazani Valley, which was luscious. We shared megruli khachapuri and soko ketze (mushroom caps filled with cheese). Incredible. This was really one of those meals to never forget.

  The food was absolutely amazing everything tasted fresh and authentic. The khinkali were especially delicious, full of flavor and perfectly made. Our server, Luca, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, which made us feel really comfortable. As Georgian food experts, we highly recommend this place,definitely worth visiting!

  Fantastic food and service. We had an amazing dinner with khachapuri, wine, stew, and chkmeruli! Our server was friendly, engaging, and an absolute delight. Highly recommend coming here for a delicious, hearty meal in a cozy and inviting atmosphere!

  I discovered Chicago Diplomatic Cafe about a month ago, and I've been back three times since—which pretty much says everything you need to know. The standout dishes are the Georgian salad, which is delicious and packed with great flavors; the khachapuri, which has that perfect cheese pull and makes for amazing comfort food; and the khinkali, expertly folded dumplings that hit every time. The honey cake is the perfect way to finish—it's rich and satisfying without being overwhelming. Everything is cooked perfectly, and the quality is consistent across every visit. Luka, the waiter, deserves special mention for his exceptional service. He's got great enthusiasm for the menu and excellent knowledge of Georgian wines—he's made some incredible recommendations that pair beautifully with the dishes. He makes you feel genuinely welcome every time you walk in. Georgian cuisine has quickly become one of my favorite cuisines, and a lot of that is thanks to the authentic food and the warm hospitality from Luka and the team.   I barely wanted to leave from this place! The food was amazing. The service was amazing and the ambience was amazing as well. I loved it so much. This was my second time going to this restaurant, I tried the chicken stew and it was amazing…. on top of that, they so graciously allowed me to taste a few of their wines straight from Georgia. The Georgian wines were amazing!!!!!! I will be returning very soon. Definitely visit and enjoy the food, the Georgian wines, and the ambience and service. Staus,, the guy working there was also super amazing and friendly, and added it to the overall experience!
