Hi Manny. Adjusting my review now, as we were extremely put off by being secretly charged $3.50 by your app in order to pay our bill. This left a bad taste in our mouths as it was not communicated or made clear, and I’ve never in my life been forced to pay money to pay for a bill. My guess is 99% of patrons don’t even know they’re being charged this which makes this feel both backhanded and unfair. The food, atmosphere, and server were all great, but dealing with this nonsense to end our night was very off putting and candidly made me want to go elsewhere next time as there are far too many great options in Chicago and none of them are places where I feel like I’m getting taxed for no reason and without being told.
I have such love for Boqueria the food is superb. I still remember the taste of the paella and stuffed strawberries from over a year ago. The staff is kind and sweet and considerate. They once sent us a free appetizer because they said their service was slow (we didn't think the service was slow, we thought the service was great). Great atmosphere and place for a date night, very cozy.

We celebrated my birthday at Boqueria in Fulton Market and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The energy of being right in the heart of Chicago’s foodie scene made it even more special.
The food was outstanding across the board, but the paella deserves its own mention—it was hands down the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Absolutely exceptional.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was our waiter, Christian. His service was spot on—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging without ever being overbearing. He made the entire meal feel effortless and celebratory.
If you’re in Chicago and looking for a place that delivers both incredible food and top-tier service, Boqueria should be at the top of your list.

We absolutely recommend Boqueria. We had a great experience from start to finish. Our server was very friendly and gave us an excellent recommendation to try the experience menu, and we loved it. The paella was delicious, the shrimp were amazing, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. We also tried the churros and the ham croquettes, and both were fantastic—super crispy and full of flavor. Truly an excellent dining experience.

Visit here for a quick meeting with a group of four. Unfortunately, the food was very salty and overall mediocre for my taste. The portions were extremely small and not shareable for our group. I understand tapas are meant to be smaller, but these were unusually small, especially for the price. In my opinion, it felt overpriced for what was offered.
The service was also disappointing. The waiter was not very friendly, and my group and I did not feel particularly welcome.
With so many great options in Fulton Market, I would likely choose to spend my money elsewhere next time.
