I was a bit scared reading the reviews because of service but I wanted to go anyways because the one in Champaign is really good. So my friend and I decided to go around a Saturday at like 1 or 2pm. The lines weren’t long at all. My friend and I had drove around the whole parking lot to get to the line and we got to the end of the line. There were cars that came after us (there was a very huge gap between them and the line) but they started beeping at us. There were two lanes and we saw there was an empty lane so we let them go there and waited in our longer lane. We finally almost get ready to order when a cop orders us to pull down our window and started passively aggressively interrogating us. She was asking if we cut and we had said no. She kept badgering us about it and said people are saying you guys cut and we asked who and she said well I just heard people beeping at you guys. As she was questioning us, she kept looking at the workers to see if they agreed or not and they were all staring at us. She asked us “well did you [cut]?!” with an attitude and we had said no again. So at this point, those two cars that came behind us had basically already ordered in the other lane and left already. There’s like five new cars behind us in our lane now and the cop forces us to back up out of the lane, making the five cars behind us back up too and forcing us to go all the way to the end of the line. We were shocked and baffled by how we were treated. I don’t know why she kept asking us if we did cut to just not listen to us saying no and sending us to the back anyways; she definitely enjoyed having that mini power trip of hers! If we did actually cut those cars on accident, I felt like the situation could’ve been handled a lot more professionally and the cop could’ve said don’t do that next time or something. But it was also unfair because she was assuming, she didn’t even see what happened and didn’t base it on actual explicitly-said complaints from the other drivers when we had asked. I felt like the way the interaction was carried out was really unnecessary and it didn’t leave a good impression on us especially since it was our first time at this location. There were also not really any signs to direct us to where the line was in the first place so we were driving around a bit. For the actual workers at 7brew, most of them were respectful. We didn’t have to wait too long for drinks. One of the workers was really enthusiastic while giving us our drinks and I really enjoyed that energy! Someone did get the order wrong though and we had to send it back but it was remade for us right away. There is one thing I would say though. Ordering was fine in the line but as soon as you pull up to the front of the store to receive the coffee, the music was really loud and you could hear it through the car even when the windows were fully rolled up. It made it a little bit more difficult to communicate with the worker when our order was wrong. Overall, the coffee was good but it was such a horrible, infuriating experience. I never really leave reviews because I’m not really one to complain or be picky but this was actually one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had while getting outside food or drinks! :(

Came on opening day 12/29 and was excited to try out the new local 7 Brew. Was a bit disappointed in the organization and initial opening but was delighted with how my drink turned out. I turned into 7 Brew from Lily Cache lane and was slightly confused on the layout of where the drive thru starts. Not sure if it was because of the initial snowfall but I was lucky enough to have slowed down to see the start of the the line labeled by some blue poles. The line wasn't too long but it was a bit confusing on how the line initially started. Service was fine and my order was received without issue. The girl taking my order is was extremely kind and I was able to get a discount via first responder discount. The pickup however took about 8-10 minutes despite there not being many cars. I initially was read the wrong order and had to notify them of my actual order which was a Brunette with double shot espresso. Again, not a huge deal but for how long the service took and getting the wrong order initially rubbed me the wrong way. Fortunately my drink tasted fantastic. A bit nutty from the hazelnut and a big kick from the extra espresso, I was delighted with my overall order. I plan on coming back a couple more times to get another chance at this place. Despite the rough opening, there is a lot of potential in this place.

Went here for the grand opening 12/29 of this location and was treated so badly and the way the customer service felt was so unwelcoming. I was there at 5:30am and was among the first customer together with this woman on a Lexus. It took them several minutes to even try to talk to us to get our order they were just straight up staring at us. Finally this lady with the black jacket came up to me and started taking my order (without even asking if I had a phone number with them) she was talking in such a rushed manner and she looked so annoyed on the whole interaction. It also took them several more minutes before attending to the other lady in the other line. I was already leaving with my order before they even bothered to get this poor lady's order. Lastly, while waiting for my order this lady with the black jacket gestured me to roll my window down so I thought they were just going to give me my order but she proceeded to frown with her distainful tone telling me "Move forward" when I was literally in the front of the hand off area. She then gestured me to move forward more and more until the other car was then directly on front of their hand off area. 0/10 experience would not recommend this location. There were literally just 3 cars including me during that period so I don't understand having to move too much while waiting for my order

I am so disappointed in this location. I was so excited for the grand opening of this location. I went around 7pm to get drinks for me and my friends. I had gotten four drinks and iced energy and three fizzes. After getting all our drinks my friends complained that their fizzes tasted like water and plastic. So I went back in line to get a remake, I am not one to ask for something remade. The one time I do ask for something to get remade, I was treated horribly. I asked if I could get my drinks remade since they didn't taste right. So the barista grabs who I would assume is a trainer or at least someone higher up than her. She started by asking me what was wrong, I told her my drinks didn't taste right and that my friend said that taste like water with barely any flavor at all. She proceeded to tell me that fizzes are sparkling water. But when i tried the drink it didn't just taste like water it's tasted like pure plastic mixed with water and flavoring. She started telling me that if they didn't like the drink there was nothing she could do, but if it was a mistake on their end she could remake them. She told me that if me and my friends didn't like it that it's not her problem. The part the stood out to me the most was she said "I can't remake them since a lot of people come back complain just to get free drinks". I was shocked, and didn't know what to say to that she practically labelled me as someone who would ask for a remake even when I told her she can toss out the wrong drinks so they can remake it right. Mind you, all throughout the conversation she sounded so condescending and rude with a frown on top of her unprofessional tone of speaking unbefitting someone working on a customer facing job I do not blame any of the baristas it was the lady with the black jacket and white scarf with multiple face piercings that gave me a problem. Overall, terrible experience for a store that has just opened and I would rather go to literally any other place except this 7 brew location

This was during the pre–grand opening of a brand new 7 Brew location, and the customer service was unacceptable. I went on 12/28 around 11am. The woman directing the line (wearing a black jacket) was rude and condescending about where customers needed to go. For someone responsible for managing flow, her attitude was completely unnecessary and set a negative tone immediately. A few minutes after placing my order, I tried to add another drink as I forgot to add one and the girl I spoke to was also rude and spoke to me with zero kindness or professionalism. A simple request was treated like an inconvenience. To top it off, the guy working the drink pickup area seemed to have never worked a customer service position in his life as he had no social interaction skills whatsoever , no effort to interact with customers. For a pre–grand opening meant to make a good first impression, this was a huge failure. If this is how customers are treated before the doors even officially open, I’m genuinely concerned about what regular service will look like. Management seriously needs to address training and attitudes immediately. I will happily be going to the Naperville location instead and will gladly share my horrible experience with colleagues, friends and family at this location.
