Also the fact that every time I go each week and spend $250+ in groceries, I have to bag my own because they’re so under staffed. If I wanted to be an employee, I’d apply. Jewel should either hire more staff or provide discounts when you must do it all yourself as the customer. I will be frequenting another grocery store more inconvenient from now on. This Jewel needs major work.

I asked for a rib roast to be cut to 5.5 inches thick versus all the 7+ inchers they had out. He told me I was asking for steaks! I said not, it’s a rib roast- never had a 5+ inch steak in my life. Proceeded to be rude and argumentative. I think he was just lazy and didn’t want to dirty a butcher block. No name tag, Apple AirPods in while at work and patronizing to customers literally buying $100+ in meat. Given this jewel has higher prices, I think I will drive and go to another Jewel (they charge less at other stores!) or stick with Mariano’s or woodmans where I usually stop. I don’t need attitude with a side of beef. Buying groceries lately is a massive expense— it’s shameful that the local Jewel has higher prices and bad employees
