  I grew up in Pocatello and lived going to Buddy's. The Buddy's salad was horrible! Salty and saggy!

  I’ve been going to Buddy’s my whole life growing up in Pocatello, and even after moving to Boise 20 years ago, this place is still a mandatory stop every time I’m back in town. I’ll admit—I was a little nervous after hearing the ownership changed when Steve sold it… but nope. Still just as amazing as I remember (crisis averted 🙌). The salads? Absolutely unhinged in size. The server did warn me… and I confidently ignored her and ordered a half anyway. Rookie mistake. I should’ve listened 😂 And the chick’s meatball? Next level. Like, “I’m still thinking about it days later” good. Already counting down to my next visit—Buddy’s, don’t you dare change.

  Serving sizes where great and plenty for one. The Salads are huge and can be shared by 3 to 4. Lower rating just wasn't for us. Salad for my liking had too much dressing on it. Pizza sauce had a bit of a spice to it which wasn't bad at all. The group we where with was over 15 people and they sat us pretty quick and overall greay service for size of our group. Most everyone in group enjoyed their dinner selection. Again rating on good is more on personal tastebuds.

  Went in to pick up dinner for my mom’s birthday, not only were the prices on the website wrong but the salad they gave us was TINY. Calzone was undercooked and the sauce tasted like it came from a can. They claimed this is a “4-5 person salad” will not be returning. What a ripoff

  Ordered their 1/2 salad based on the waitresses recommendation. Buddy's supreme pasta( rigatoni) w/ buddy's dressing and grilled chicken breast(which was dry). It came with bread and butter. Also ordered their Calzone. Filling chosen was pepperoni , sausage , black olives . I'll start with the presentation/ plating: The salad came on a plate with tongs . The bowls were flipped upside down and put on the top. It looked very awkward and not pleasing to the eye , at all! While the dressing was good it was extremely salty! I had the same dressing on my pasta , so, same salty taste. Flavor over all was good. And now for the " Calzone". It was presented on a plate that was clearly too small to accommodate this so called Calzone. Flavor , good. Totally ruined by the fact that they smother it in sauce and cheese to the point that its soggy and doughy. Not pleasant to eat. Too much of a good thing! This could be so much better if you just refined this dish and put the sauce on the side , which is traditional. There's a reason why you don't smother it in sauce. Overall I think their food could be so much better if they just made some tweaks. Presentation/ plating is an F . Flavor is okay. But too salty. Like its compensating for lack of flavor.
