My grandma has dementia and I struggled a bit at self check out to keep an eye on her while scanning my items. The self check out attendant was so kind and cheerful while helping me. We left some minutes later and the attendant called my grandma Joyce by name and told her good bye with a smile, which made her entire night. She was so surprised that her name was remembered and it made her feel important. People can be easily frustrated or made uncomfortable by seniors with dementia. It was really wonderful to be treated with sincere kindness and patience while running such a simple errand. Thank you
