VERDICT: Well-worth making the trip just for the food and coffee! I highly recommend this place. This is easily one of my favorite lunch spots. FOOD: Get the Chicken and Beef Pelmeni (dumplings) paired with an Americano. The dumplings are somewhat reminiscent of Chinese dumplings, but they have two spaces for the filling, giving a critical increase in density, along with the melt-in-your-mouth tender ground beef and chicken (see pic). The dumplings were lightly tossed in a butter and topped with sour cream. The salt from the broth within the dumplings balance cuts perfectly through the richness. As for the Americano, it is a medium roast but had notes of dark roast, giving a good strong, deep flavor without the burnt flavor of dark or French roast. The richness of the coffee blends well with the pelmini dish beautifully. The bear claw was impressive, being sweetened gently by powdered sugar and almond brown sugar filling. Crisp, yet chewy, sweet, yet buttery. I look forward to returning and trying all the pastries when not getting the pelmini/Americano pairing. SERVICE: Very cordial staff, even when I asked for their input on what genre the food was and history of the shop. (The genre is influenced by various Ukranian and Russian elements, so she said "Slavic" would be the correct nomenclature.) Everything was very clean and bright. Dishes from done orders were bussed quite quickly and everything wiped down. ATMOSPHERE: Music is soft and the buzzing conversations around us weren't distracting. With everything so clean, staff so kind, and the food to die for, I'd say the experience was perfect.

We stopped in on a whim, because my sister liked the name and my mom loves sunflowers. We were only going to get a pastry and go, but the menu and atmosphere were very enticing. Between Mom, sister and me we shared a strawberry-banana crepe and enjoyed the wonderful mugs that our coffee was served in. This is idefinitely a great place for a brunch or to sit for a bit and enjoy your coffee!

Came for a bear claw but they weren’t ready yet. Ordered the breakfast croissant and the caramel macchiato. Both were amazing! Ordered the bear claw to go! I will be back!

This little bakery/ cafe is tucked away in a small strip center. When you walk in you immediately know you found a special place. The interior is impeccably clean. The display case and coffee station shines. The chairs are attractive and padded. The folks at the counter are friendly and helpful They have a varied menu with several unique offerings. The pastries are excellent. I've taken several friends to Sunflower Bakery&Cafe and they all rave about it.
