- LCLyndsey Clark6 days ago5.0I came in this morning for a bowl of soup with my 3 year old son. When we were sitting at the booth my wiggly boy slipped and hit his cheek really hard on the edge of the table. He cried and cried as I held him in my arms. As I was consoling him, a woman came up to the table and started talking to him, she didnt initially realize that he was crying because he got hurt but had just thought that he was having a rough go as little ones sometimes do. She saw a mother alone with her wailing child and took the time to act as loving people do and step up to help with kindness. She was so gentle and sweet, asking him questions about himself to distrac him from being upset, it was clear that she had done this many times before with her own children and grandchildren and perhaps other peoples children as well, she was all the wonderful things that you hope that moms and grandmas are, and she didn’t save those wonderful things just for her own family, she took the time to notice and share them with a stranger too. Thank you Cindy, for your genuine heartfelt kindness. For taking a moment to be more than an employee, for noticing and not ignoring, for making me feel seen and for cheering up my sweet boy when he was feeling so sad and down. You are a wonderful woman and I pray that Gods blessings unfold on you and that you are always met with the kindness that you give. God bless you.
