If it wasn’t for the fact that I know how good 5 guys can be I would probably never come back. We’ve stopped here 3 times since they’ve opened and the food quality the first two times was not up to 5guys standard but I chalked it up to them being new. A few days ago (12/30/25) we ordered 5 burgers, 2 sets were ordered the exact same; so 2 identical burgers, 2 identical burgers and 1 burger. And every single order was wrong, no mayo, no pickles, no lettuce and an excessive amount of grilled onions. We had to go to the counter and ask for a side of everything missing and told them the burgers didn’t have them. No one apologized, or even acknowledged their mistake. Just handed us a tray of what we asked for. Pretty disappointing when we know and love 5 guys for their delicious burgers/fries and their service.

we went there for the first time yesterday, we ordered the small cheeseburger, the burger itself was good, the bun was very cold, as in just out of the refrigerator, i don't know if this is the common way it is served, it sure took away from the hamburger

The food here is outrageously priced for what it is. I couldn’t resist taking a peek at the menu and immediately decided to leave. It wasn’t even worth the effort to enter. Forget about the extra charge for fries; I’ll just head to Burger King or Rogers instead.

Fiveguys is iconic. It it is expensive. Two hamburgers, one fry to share, and two shakes was over $38. The shakes deservedly are always more. They were running a peppermint shake special, our chocolate shakes had an essence of peppermint from the mixing process most likely, yuck, we didn’t finish them. Then because your hands get greasy you want to wash them, there was no soap in the dispensers at 5 pm. And the hand washing water sensor didn’t work easily. Take a hand wipe with you. This five guys was cleaner than others I have been too.

Overpriced and Overhyped - Go to Wendy's Instead. We finally tried Five Guys after hearing all the buzz and were extremely disappointed. This was a hugely mediocre and frustrating first visit. Value Problem is Extreme: For context, a simple cheeseburger, fries, and a drink totaled over $17.00 per person. When compared to the quality, you are genuinely better off getting a combo meal at Wendy's for half the price. Food Quality Issues: The food was messy and poorly executed. Burgers: Greasy, falling apart, and essentially a "smushy" burger that my kids ended up not liking. I didn't even order anything due to the atmosphere. Fries: Soggy, limp, and simply not worth the $5+ price tag. Atmosphere and Service: The place had a loud, cold atmosphere that was honestly hard to stand. When we told the cashier it was our first time ordering, we received zero guidance—she just pointed and said, "Just pick what you want, it's easy." The lack of guidance and the cold environment made the whole experience unpleasant. We will definitely not be returning for a second round. The experience did not justify the price or the hype.
