  We've been working with rising star for 3 years now and have yet to be disappointed. I highly recommend rising star.

  This is the second year they messed up the cuts on our cow. Its turned it to a gamble if you will get your meat prepared the way you fill out your cut sheet. This is extremely disappointing.

  Recently took bear meat to this butcher shop. Upon dropping off the frozen quarters, we requested that our reusable TAG game bags be kept. We were told, yes we'll keep them for you to pick up with your meat. Upon picking up meat, there were no game bags. When we inquired about this we were met with very unprofessional, emphatic, "I threw those away." The story then switched to, "I told you to take them with you if you wanted them." I don't care if I needed to take the quarters out of the bags then or if I picked up the bloody bags with the meat. I don't have any care either way but when I'm told I can get them with the meat, that was the communication I was operating on. So, the cost of the processing now includes the game bags, which aren't cheap and have to be shipped from Alaska. The manner in which this was handled was very unprofessional and callous with no care about the reputation of the business. Be aware of this.

  These guys did a great job butchering our 3 steers. They fully customized our beef from the steak thickness to fat in the hamburger. The whole order was just as we wanted it. Not the easiest to find place but we will be back when the freezer is empty!
