- KPKristen PruattMar 14, 20261.0I walked into an inactive store and to the customer service counter to get a $30.00 money order and was met with irritation and being told that “I have to get my girl off the clock so we will be closed after this customer. I will open back up at five and you are more than welcome to come back.” I looked at my phone and it was 4:28pm. My husband and I have spent years going to this Albertsons because we live across the street. The store is not in an easy to maneuver location and traffic is insane at that time. I left the store shocked and confused because I’ve worked retail, food service etc. I have managed and I know how things run so to be talked to the way I was, sucked. The fact that I was sent away because a money order would interfere with one of the three workers who were just chatting together… does not compute. Definitely felt like I was interrupting someone at their job that forgot they were representing the store and being paid to do said job. It is even better that I am disabled and did not have the time to wait 30minutes for her to come back and give me a money order. The clerk was young with dark hair and fake eyelashes; not pleasant at all I am going to drive all the way to Fred Meyer from now on to get money orders because this is the second bad experience we’ve had at this store. Each time, it has been a young woman and I feel that they and everyone around them would benefit from a refresher on how to treat customers.
