We placed an order through the mobile app. When I arrived at the drive-thru I was greeted and advised I placed a mobile order. I waited minutes for a response. Crickets. I drove up to the window figuring it was a malfunction. Well, turns out they’re making tons of door dash orders and my order won’t be filled because they’re “out of product” and won’t be having any more until 2am. And I’m welcome to wait 2 hours for that to be made. Imagine running a store so poorly that you run out of the product in your name. This is the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant in Waukee. They didn’t even offer anything to replace it. Simply said you’ll have to go through the app and request a refund because they’re “can’t turn off the mobile ordering system”. The manager seemed completely inadequately trained for this situation. This store needs better ownership, better management, and better service training. I’ve worked in food management where I have to order food for multiple locations for years. And I’ve never once ran out of multiple staple food products…Let alone the whole menu.
The ownership needs to stop neglecting their duties and try to actually oversee operations. Because this is how you lose customers and get stores shut down.

The guy working the drive thru on 12/19/2025 was laughing the whole time while I was trying to order so I just left, do not go to this Taco Bell.

We went in the lobby there were a lot of people but the red headed staff guy kept the line going quickly and efficiently. We got everything correctly as ordered. And the food was HOT AND DELICIOUS.

Hardly any meat in the tacos, mobile order asked for no ice in drinks, but were full and food was luke warm. My kids were pretty disappointed. Drive thru person was nice.
