  They lied to customers saying that they need more than a 48 hour notice to have a lunch box order the is very disrespectful while the store in Kalona only needed a 24 notice I will never come back to this store again also the franchise owner has lied and has closed early due to “short staff” if you can’t find workers to work than Chad need to cover the shifts or find someone from the other store, he also has been mean to other franchises owners in the area. Plz don’t not go here. They also make employees stay back past their time they are supposed to leave. Either hire people that want to work or shut the doors. Also marketing that this is a better store in the area is not true also their is no supplier issues if they say that, it is an manger ordering truck issues, I have worked at a subway for 4 years and never had ran out of something early in the day, if your workers don’t have enough time to make prep before rush they need to learn how to. Sadly their are better stores that getting more customers and they don’t run out off prep that quickly even tho it is in gas stations, the gas station is the only thing keeps this subway open, if people really won’t great service and an happy experience Kalona is the store to be at. I was not happy to found out that I could not place a lunch box order for my friends high school basketball team, 48 hours ahead of their game. You should only need 24 hours notice bc it does not take that long to make them. If your really short staffed, pay a fair wage, and don’t complain when employees have to stay back when their coworkers don’t show up.

  The sandwich got was toasted but came out soggy. I eat in the store. There was an employee yelling twice because he couldn’t figure something out on the POS system. When I requested extra veggies, I was given a hard time about not being able to close my sandwich if they gave me extra. Also it’s never end to end coverage anymore. I was the only one in the store there is no reason to feel like you have to rush through the process! You are a SANDWHICH ARTIST! I left a tip and wish I didn’t.

  The manager of this location is the best I've ever seen. He remembers my name, my usual order and actually cares about his job/this company! He should get a raise because I've yet seen customer service done to this level! I've moved so I actually miss this location!
