  Giving it a 4 star overall as the food was good even though the service and atmosphere need attention. Indoor is large and spacious with an outdoor play area for kids, but the music was way too loud. It was okay sitting side-by-side, but conversation would be impossible across a table or in a group. Also, the host asked about patio seating, but the doors were closed so I'm not sure why he asked. Our waitress was nice but service was meh. She asked how our salads were not long after they hit the table, we hadn't even had a bite yet. The next time we saw her was when she served the appetizer we requested as the main meal, then she disappeared until we asked for the bill. She was also chewing gum the whole time. The house salad was good for the price but the strawberry almond salad felt overpriced for the size. My husband did enjoy it. We liked the BBQ pork eggrolls and they were nice and crispy, but the BBQ sauce was extremely vinegary and off-putting. It is described as a sweet BBQ sauce on the menu. I wish we had asked for a different sauce instead. Just a heads up: they charge 3% to use a credit card, but they don't tell you unless you ask.

  This place makes me happy automatically when I visit with its vibrant splashes of color, welcoming atmosphere and outdoor area. I’m new to Iowa and will surely make this place a staple. Great beer, killer food, chill atmosphere and helpful and upbeat staff. What more can one ask for?

  We booked the mezzanine space for an 18 person business lunch and it was perfect. The fajita bowl buffet arrived exactly on time and it met the variety of dietary needs of our team. Our server Sophia was efficient, friendly, and slipped quietly in and out so we could give presentations. Everyone raved about how lovely and spacious Field Day is and we will certainly return there again for future team lunches.

  I come here often on Thursdays for half price wings. Went in yesterday 3/26 at 6:15pm (right before the Sweet 16 Iowa game), and the place was PACKED. Bartenders drowning in tickets, staff running food and drinks as fast as possible. I don't enjoy the craziness of a packed house so I ordered my wings to go so I could watch the game at home. Being so crazy busy, I honestly did not have high hopes for the wing quality (I'll admit I am extremely picky and judgmental). I got home, unpacked the goods, and had some of the best wings I've ever had. High sauce ratio, steaming, garnishes were on point, crispy skin. There's a reason this place is as busy as it is and why I go nearly every Thursday. Time to give them their due. Well done!
