I was with a large group in a reserved room. My table arrived at 6pm. We asked to order quickly as we had 2 elementary age children who needed to eat. At 6:45 I noticed the waitress was taking orders at a table that arrived around 6:30. I asked to be waited on next as the children needed to eat or go home. They were hungry. Waitress took our order. Appitizer arrived 7:30. At 8:10, I asked about the main dishes (hamburger and spaghetti) and was told it could be another 40 minutes but the waitress would check with the kitchen. Food arrived 8:30 and was tepid. Bill arrived 10 minutes later. However, the waitress came back and demanded I give her the bill as she said she charged us for another person's meal (a friend who sat with us). I said I had already paid the bill and there was no need to recalculate the bill. No apologies for wait time, tepid food temperature, need to ask multiple times for service, bill error. Clincher was that a salad came with mushy, rotten lettuce. Waitress was rude, obstinate, unapologetic, argumentative and complained that she had to work two jobs to make ends meet unlike others.

Ok so I ordered fried calamari and Mac n cheese for the value it was a steal but my order had some complications. I opened my order and there was like 11 calamaris. They were good yes but it was the Mac n cheese that was the problem. It was flavorless I could taste I thing I thought I was eating water. But the lady was nice enough to give me more Mac because of a calamari shortage. I don't mean to slander but the Mac could use some work

I have been coming to chucks my entire life! Linda was an amazing family friend. So when i decided to throw a party for my dad’s retirement it made sense to take it back to where everything use be. I am a planner and of course got on the books 8 weeks in advance. Just my luck it fell on the coldest weekend of the year! Emily and Luke were so accommodating. Our food was amazing! We did a buffet for what turned into 45 people! We felt terrible lots of last minute cancellations due to weather but they were amazing about it! I wish i would have taken pictures of the food but all raved about it. Homemade onion rings, raviolis and mushrooms. Followed by salad and pizza galore! We are running out of great local spaces to host events and support! Go check out this great local gem! #supportlocal #homemadepizza #highlandpark

If you are looking for an interesting set up, giant portions, and good value.....this place hits your sweet spot.
Our group of 3 went on a Friday night at 630. There were 2 parties of 10-15 people, plus a few other tables occupied. We were seated pretty quickly and given menus. Then waited a LONG time for service. I finally asked how we were supposed to order and someone helped us. They explained there were 2 big parties and they were short staffed. Apologized profusely. Okay.
Appetizer choices were portobello strips and brussel sprouts. Took about 30 minutes to come out. Giant portions and both really good.
Ordered our dinners- lasagna, calzone, salad, to eat in- pizza to go. Entrees took about 60 minutes. Again- big, big portions. Most favorite- calzone. Least favorite lasagna. They were all good. The salad had a good pound of toppings.
We had half of everything, including the appetizers to take home. Also shared the brownie dessert. It was just okay. Maybe a little on the old and dry side.
Listen, we will for sure go back. This wasn't the best experience. Or the worst! We still tipped well. Just such incredibly long waits for everything, even refills on water.
$110 for all that food!!! That seemed darn good for everything we had.

It’s been years since we’ve been to Chuck’s. This time was a little different. We were greeted by a VERY friendly hostess which she was probably the best thing about the visit. I started with the artichoke Dip which was very soupy. The pita chips were fresh and delicious. We shared a pizza that had way too much cheese and the crust was TERRIBLE I like thin crust, but this was like air and toppings just a mess. It looked great until you grabbed a piece. The chicken tender basket was awesome I can tell they bread and fry themselves. As for our server did get our drink order and then she disappeared so I had to go find her to take our order. We won’t be back, but hopefully the place improves for others to once again enjoy. They closed at 9, but we didn’t leave until 9:14 not on purpose so apologies on our side for that, but before we left the bartender and a friend were talking about pooping their pants very loudly.
