  Interior is awesome, really good vibes, Food is great, I've tried a lot of the menu now and most of it is top notch. The classic sake salmon maki roll is made with a good amount of fresh salmon. The tempura maki roll is a good mix of flavors and textures. The beef hot rack actually surprised me with how flavorful the beef/sauce was. This place is one of Des Moines's gems.

  This was my first time going to this restaurant and it was definitely memorable! Nathaniel was our server and definitely made girls night a hit! Sushi was great and came out timely given how busy the restaurant was. I will definitely be back!

  Nathaniel was our server for a party of us 4 girls he was AMAZING. He was super friendly and gave us great recommendations for food and drinks. Laughed with us and made jokes was just overall an amazing server. Our food came out timely and was amazing.

  Server didn’t bring what I asked for ie water, etc Food did not come all at the same time. Server made a big huffing sigh EVERY time she came to table, like she couldn’t be bothered. She was more concerned about cleaning tables that weren’t needed than helping tables that had people at them. Server was inappropriately dressed for a classy restaurant, in my opinion.

  We placed a pickup order and, despite the restaurant being empty, waited a significant amount of time just to be acknowledged. The quality of the packaging was poor—all of our sushi was smashed into a single container, and we didn't find the sauces until after we finished eating because they were buried under napkins at the bottom of the bag. When I called to discuss this with the manager, Olivia, she was entirely dismissive. She stated they wouldn't change their packaging and suggested I should have requested it be packed differently. Between the poor presentation, the dismissive attitude, and the hidden packaging and credit card fees, the value simply isn't there.i am genuinely disappointed because we use to love going here. But I simply can’t recommend this place to anyone anymore.
