I had to take a couple days to clear my head on this review before posting it, because I have never had such a bad experience out of 15+ years at various Buffalo Wild Wings locations.
My husband and I visited this location on 4/19 for a date night like any normal couple during the NHL and NBA playoffs. While my husband was on his way home from working late, I called the restaurant to see if there was a wait time, as we left due to the wait time the previous night. I was placed on hold by a gentleman and spent 20 minutes on hold until I figured I would just call again, figuring that it was busy because of the playoff games. After a 3rd call, a lady was able to tell me that there was in fact no wait, so my husband and I came in for our date night.
After the hostess/waitress sat us, in a corner after we had mentioned we came specifically to watch the games with dinner, so instead of my husband being able to sit across from me and enjoy the games, he had to sit next to me to be able to see any TVs, but had everything else been better, we would’ve been able to ignore that. The waitress we had was helping tables around us, and after about 25 minutes or so, she finally came to our table with the excuse “I didn’t know I had been sat, can I get you guys a free appetizer?” My husband and I were already considering leaving, it was almost 8:45, and we had made up our minds on food 20 minutes prior. We declined the appetizer and ordered our meals with two beers, my husband got himself tots and a 20pc boneless with Parmesan Garlic and Honey Garlic, meanwhile I had ordered potato wedges and a 10pc boneless with Honey BBQ, stated very clearly to the waitress, who had not even told us her name at this point, which is number one in terms of service industry. About 20-30 minutes go by, which is a semi normal wait for food anyways, she comes to our table with our food, my husbands is right, but my wings have no sauce on them. I’ll give credit to our server, she recognized at that point there was supposed to be Honey BBQ on them and took them back… except when she came back there was some sort of dry rub on them. She went to walk away without checking to see if it was okay, and luckily I had caught her before she got too far away, because the wings were supposed to be Honey BBQ, her excuse being “oh I must’ve misheard you.”
As for the food, the wings tasted hard and cold, and truly the best part of the meal was the sides we ordered with it and the beers, but we were so irritated with the whole experience that we didn’t even enjoy our beers. I wouldn’t be as upset had the place been busy, but it was the complete opposite, with multiple tables open, servers looking to be doing side work, so in my opinion, there was no excuse for bad service and a bad experience. Apparently, maybe the server’s name was Em? At least that’s what was on the receipt? All I can tell you for sure, is after moving to the area just a little over a week before, seeking comfort food, for the amount my husband spent on this experience, we could’ve had so much better at Texas Roadhouse, but my husband wanted me to have a fun night given my hometown basketball team was playing the same night.
