While Makahiki — The Bounty of the Islands also offers a set menu, ‘AMA ‘AMAClick to open side panel for more information delivers the sophisticated, refined atmosphere I was looking for. The staff and culinary team went above and beyond for our specific dietary needs. While other spots on the property simply adjusted their existing dishes, the chef here went the extra mile to ensure my daughter’s dairy-free and gluten-free meal was a true culinary hit that matched the high-end experience we were paying for. It wasn’t just "safe" to eat; it was exceptional. The ambiance is worth every penny. We were fortunate to secure a table with stunning, unobstructed ocean views, which really makes the meal. I’d highly recommend requesting a seat near the water in advance to fully appreciate the setting. If you’re choosing between the two main set-menu options at Aulani, this is the one to prioritize for a special, elevated evening.
