This small establishment is a local favorite, especially for take out. The counter girl and the kitchen staff were very pleasant and helpful. It has the feel of a family operated business. It was clean and the food was served warm with little delay. Kono's was a very affordable place that serves up quality food. Don't go for the decor or ambience, go for the outstanding Kailua Pig! They have a location in Waikiki but we never made it there! Don't miss this place if you are out on Hawaii's North Shore. We will be back!

We rolled in with a large group for breakfast, and despite having only one worker handling the entire front, the service was unbelievably fast and efficient. This person was a total rockstar, they knocked out our orders super quickly, and the food itself was absolutely great. Fast, friendly, and delicious. You cannot ask for more! Highly recommend stopping here!
