    While my husband may have fell for the okie dokie and refuses to admit we wasted money, I beg to differ. We recently purchased a large order from Hawaiian Prime totaling $1,556, and unfortunately our experience has been very disappointing. There were already some issues with the delivery and the items we received compared to what was originally shown to us. When we began opening some of the packages, one of the steaks had a very strong smell. To his credit, the owner came out personally to inspect it and told us the smell was normal and that the meat had simply been “dehydrated longer.” However, after he left, we cooked the steak right away and it tasted very sour, which confirmed that something was clearly off with the product. We also tried cooking the chicken tenders included in the order for our kids. Even after frying them until the outside was golden brown, the inside was still raw. When we cooked them longer to ensure they were done, they became extremely dry and had a strange texture. This has happened multiple times with the chicken from this order. While the owner has been responsive when contacted, there have been several misunderstandings during previous conversations. Because of that, I chose not to continue reaching out again after the sour meat incident, as i did not feel it would lead to a productive resolution. Unfortunately, after spending $1,556, the quality of the meat we received did not match the “restaurant quality” that was advertised. Based on our experience, we will be returning to purchasing our meat from retailers like Costco or Sam’s Club, where quality control and food safety standards are more consistent. EDIT TO ADD: Thank you for responding. I want to clarify a few inaccuracies in your reply. The steak in question did not sit in our refrigerator for “4+ days.” We contacted you Friday evening and you came to our home Saturday morning, which is less than 24 hours. I have the text messages and timestamps to confirm this. We also tried more than just one or two items from the order. Unfortunately, multiple products we cooked from the boxes we purchased did not meet the quality we expected for the price paid. While I do acknowledge that you came out personally and brought the tenderloin box, that was your decision to offer. At the time we even asked if you were sure, because that was not the resolution we were asking for. At this point I am not interested in continuing a back-and-forth. My review simply reflects our honest experience as customers. I wish you the best with your business moving forward and please stop gas lighting your customers. I no longer want to be in communication with you and my husband will be in contact to retrieve our last shipment from you. even though it will end up in the trash, i spent money on it so i want to be the one to throw it in the trash rather than allow you to waste anymore of my time. good day and goodluck with your coconut wireless sales pitch.

    This is my honest review and I'm New customer but before I provide my review I think a little story is needed. We moved here from Texas and we was approached by a similar meat distribution deal: boxes of meat that's sealed and cost cheaper than the grocery stores and if you get a certain package it comes with a free deep freezer. So yes we bought it cause it was a good deal just like "Hawaiian Prime Seafood and steak. However the products we have received was either expired or bad quality and the brochure that we got from them had numbers that was out of service. We tried to dispute and get a refund through our bank but that's where it stopped and we just took the L. So Damon son of Michael (the owner of the company) caught me one day like a prey coming home from work. I already knew what he was trying to sell and I don't know why I bother to entertain him but I heard him out just to hear his pitch (he over did the "vacuum sealed, guaranteed fresh part). What really sold me is that he got his father on the phone to try and reassured us that the experience we had in Texas was not going to be the same. Anyways for the review: 1. Meat quality: 5 stars 2. Meat options: 4 stars (they don't get to choose what they get for shipment) 3. Customer service: 5 stars (they swap out a meat you don't like for something else and they do what they can to keep you happy) 4. Overall : 5 stars; it's a night and day difference when the business gets involved to provide quality service; the owner even showed up to my front door today holding his son ear apologizing for a missed delivery because of the weather. If anyone reading this is still on the fence just think of the meat they provide and the meat that you buy from grocery stores and compare the prices. They may not have your usual meat but we still took the chance and we got to try new recipes. We aren't meat expert so the quality to us is the same but the prices per meat definitely helped with my family of 4 growing boys. Thank you Michael and Damon for the Aloha customer service and I hope to stay in business with you.

    Ordering steaks from Hawaiian Prime has become a tradition for us. The quality is consistently outstanding and their team is always incredibly helpful. It feels good supporting a great local resource and the steaks never disappoint. Correction: the steaks AND seafood never disappoint. We ordered lobster tails for the first time this year… Simply amazing!
