The hot food shelf is bare. Minus one star for only getting deals if you download a stupid app. I download the app and it’s not even working. Minus one more star for a total of two, because the regular prices are high. Very high compared to just a normal store like times that doesn’t have very good prices. Either the only reason I could see anyone shopping here is because the closest times is the worst times on the island that I’ve encountered. I guess if you’re in this area, your grocery options aren’t just trash. The Foodland closed and I didn’t shop there anyway.

The store that You are working for has standards for us to provide. On this day Safeway with the compliment of my cashier showed me honor. I wanted sourdough bread and their brand was very low and I bought it. When it came to me it scan it was a bit higher than? I explained and my cashier went to look. I have NO CLUE on how we can get from the app. Cashier comes tell me about going though the app to get $4.99 otherwise $9! I got Safeway's customer service my cashier honored me the numbers for which I saw $4.99. This particular cashier I have been in his line before and what people need to remember that the person 1 down from me has lots of groceries. I don't know WHY but it's the cashier who is the 1 that's bagging. So you will wait, but I enjoy watching this young man. He remember that customer's health and inquire about it. The customer face started to glow with a great smile. Saying that you are important, worth it, lifted this customer's spirit and I got to see this. A kind word with a uplifting tone can save...someone. We got a laugh out of the lady who had 30 bags of candy for we joined in on her moment. I felt it, this store of which I grew up in w/cashier I was home. My turn came up Nathan checked and came back representing Safeway's standards and honor me. I've had this cashier before and my Mom would of loved him. Upon leaving the store and feeling home, I felt it running down my cheeks 🥹. Mahalo Safeway, Aloha from me to Ka'ne.

If you have to push a call button to get something unlocked, expect to wait quite a while and have to repress the button multiple times before somebody finally comes to open a cabinet.
