Really disappointing meal at this restaurant. Nothing catastrophic, but the service plus meal was just sub-par.
The meal was just not that good. The dim sum sampler was four various pieces of dumplings/gyoza. Each piece looked different, but tasted the same. Bland, unseasoned and boring. The soy based sauce that was served with the appetizer had way more flavor than the gyoza.
The miso cod was ok. Cooked well and buttery. The bok choy was served under the cod and was underwhelming. Overcooked and bland, again under seasoned. A decent portion of bok choy was given, so that’s a plus at least. Three piles of toasted, chopped macadamia nuts were plopped along the rim of the plate. I don’t really understand the function of the nuts… why not mix them into the bok choy or coat the cod for some crunch? Instead you’re expected to eat them haphazardly with a fork as a garnish- I guess?
The wagyu sushi was again underwhelming. An employee sears the beef with a torch table side, which is a good idea. The torch not only lightly sears the beef, but also serves to burn some of the rice and tempura shrimp in the roll. Again, this entree was bland and uninteresting. I understand letting the beef “shine”, but other components within the roll could have flavor. The asparagus could be buttery and salty. The tempura shrimp could have some seasoning. The spicy aioli could go inside the roll, as opposed to being smeared on the plate like a 90’s era “fancy” restaurant.
The service was, again, underwhelming. It seemed as though people weren’t entirely sure as to what their role was. We wanted to order an extra dish (the dishes served are pretty meager), but were unable due to our server being absent for an extended period of time.
The restaurant itself is cool. Exposed kitchen to see the cooks do their thing. Ducks hanging by the neck in the kitchen to prove that the roast duck you order is real. The lighting, tables, chairs, and location are all trendy and fine.
It’s disappointing that Chef Morimoto seems to follow the way of other celebrity chefs: mediocre restaurant that they slap their name on and collect royalties from. I struggle to see any real value in this restaurant. The prices do not align with the food and service. This restaurant seems to lean on the Morimoto and A5 wagyu names, but fails to deliver an acceptable experience.

OMG, this restaurant is top-of-the-top.
We went for New Year's Eve with our family and we had the best night ever.
They have the best service; they are so nice and friendly. The water guy made our night better; he was very attentive and always happy. Waiters are very professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food is a 10 out of 10. We are coming back to try more food 😋 😀
Thanks for everything. Happy New Year 2026!

Came here for NYE dinner. Food and service were excellent!! Everything was nicely plated , fresh and tasty. Portions were on the smaller side for family style meals. Ordered the spicy chicken wontons, carpaccio hamachi, garlic green beans, orange chicken, pork ribs (must order), and himachi stone bowl (forgot the name), and flaming chocolate sphere.
Highly recommend - request table outside for best seating ambiance! Great for larger groups.

Was incredibly excited to try Morimoto - we flew in across the country with this being one of our top spots on our list. unfortunately our service ruined the experience. You could tell how quality and flavorful the meal would have been.
The server recommended we ordered a few things to share - Our experience: We ordered a $160 A5 Waygu Steak and a few small plates for a small group of 3 of us. Very short and rude service where they essentially did the exact opposite of everything we asked for. They neglected to bring us any silverware by the time we received the steak and small plates. It took them more than five minutes to check on us and we told them we needed silverware - and they slowly came back with them a few minutes later. The steak and all of our dishes were incredibly cold by the time we were able to eat it. Not once were we asked if we needed anything or how our meal was so we could even ask for them to be reheated. They also did not bring us a main side dish for our meal and just didn’t acknowledge it.
Even cold, the flavor or the food was very good. I’m sure this would have been a wonderful meal if the service was even remotely appropriate for a nice establishment. We all left feeling like this was one of the worst service experiences we’ve ever had.
