I stopped in today about 10:15 AM and waited 15 minutes to order. When I got to order I asked for three pieces of tempura shrimp I was told there was only one piece left I suggested that I would wait for more to come out. I was told”Our kitchen has closed for the day,” At 10:30 AM ?? Thanks but no thanks I won’t be back

Saw a review of this place on YouTube and thought it would be worth checking out and I was blown away with the quality of the food. The fish was some of the best mahi I have ever had and the spam masubi tasted fresh as if it were just pressed. The chicken was crispy and had an excellent flavor.
The staff here were filled with aloha and I felt very welcomed despite it clearly being my first time visiting.

Arguably the best Okazuya in Hilo. The food is made fresh daily & the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I always stop in at least once when I’m back home for a visit
