This is the second time we've had the pleasure of being waitered by Anne she is always pleasant and makes a real.effort to make our visits pleasurable . The food and wine was again great and the head waiter was fantastic moving us outside on request after we initially seated inside.

I tried authentic Italian cuisine for the first time, and trust me, it was really, really good. The Pollo Roquitopizza, fungi cash, chicken Lecca lecca, and my personal favourite, k/prawn AI Forno, come highly recommended. For drinks, I definitely suggest the passionfruit martini.

Food was very bland didn’t taste of anything and certainly was not worth the price. My Mrs had vegetarian carbonara but tasted like milk I had a seafood pasta the fish was nice but sauce and pasta didn’t taste like anything. The garlic bread was nice but wasn’t happy paying the price and receiving tasteless food if you’re visiting Scarborough I wouldn’t go here unfortunately.

During a recent day trip to Scarborough we visited Ask Italian for a bite to eat on the May Bank Holiday Monday. We arrived just after it opened at 11:30am and after a couple of moments wait were quickly shown to a table. The venue itself was clean and nicely presented, we were given the complimentary little shots of lemonade they offer as we browsed the menu.
The staff were very polite and friendly and were quick to come across and take a food and drink order. My husband and I opted for pasta dishes with a side. The food didn’t take very long at all to be brought out, it was hot but the slight downside is you didn’t get enough of it for the price. During our time you could see how popular it gets with the number of people who were arriving but it looked like the staff coped well you could tell they were probably used to it!
The venue has toilets which are located upstairs, they come as individual cubicles with the toilet, wash basin and hand drier all inside this was also clean and tidy at the time of our visit.
Upon payment they directed us to scan the QR code which meant we could pay and leave when we wanted.
Overall the staff were very friendly and the service was extremely quick, the only downside is the portion size of the dish but it is probably what you come to expect with chain restaurants like this. The location however is a good one and it also offers outside seating so you can enjoy some beach and harbour views as you eat. Would recommend if you want a quick bite to eat.
