About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

I had a terrible experience at Greggs this morning, primarily due to a staff member named Oliver. I ordered a baguette, expecting the usual quality, but what I received was unacceptable. Oliver handed me a baguette that was a complete mess—he simply shoved the cheese into a sandwich bag next to it, which is just lazy and disrespectful. This isn't the first time I've encountered this kind of service from him. When I politely asked if I could get the sandwich remade bag , he flatly refused and even swore under his breath. This kind of behavior towards customers is not only unprofessional but also very disappointing

A fellow who was arranging the food in the counter on 09/03/26 Morning was really rude and unprofessional and if your store has that kind of staff then soon you will have to close down this store with such useless and rude and really unprofessional staff who shouts on customers Greggs this store spoils your name really worst Greggs ever visited if your staff doesn’t know how to speak to customers please train them or else some day they will lose there teeth.

Great location and it displayed the usual Greggs food selection. Friendly staff. Horrified that the staff had to endure two separate episodes of theft whilst I was in there and they said it happens all the time. The two young employees carried on serving customers, were so apologetic and remained professional.

Ordered a bacon and sausage roll. Got home to find it was only sausage. But paid for both funnily enough.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
