- WRWalid RazanybJun 2, 20261.0I had a terrible experience at Greggs this morning, primarily due to a staff member named Oliver. I ordered a baguette, expecting the usual quality, but what I received was unacceptable. Oliver handed me a baguette that was a complete mess—he simply shoved the cheese into a sandwich bag next to it, which is just lazy and disrespectful. This isn't the first time I've encountered this kind of service from him. When I politely asked if I could get the sandwich remade bag , he flatly refused and even swore under his breath. This kind of behavior towards customers is not only unprofessional but also very disappointing

Horrified that the staff had to endure two separate episodes of theft whilst I was in there and they said it happens all the time. The two young employees carried on serving customers, were so apologetic and remained professional.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
