  I'm sorry but the food we had wasn't very nice. I had a bacon bap which I expected the bread to be soft and it wasn't. Tasted like a pizza dough. My wife has avocado and poached egg. Again the bread didn't taste right. Coffee and service was fine.

  Joined queue of one person in front and after 10 minutes ordered a coffee and bun, after a further 10 minutes had to say I will call in later for it as had a meeting next door, 3 staff other two talking/ not serving. Really twenty minutes and they hadn't even started ordering. Not busy won't be going there again 🙄

  Excellent coffee place. Filled with locals. Much better than globals. Only difficulty was finding a seat

  I came into the Worthing esquires on Wednesday morning for my usual coffee and croissant. Green haired lady was lovely and welcoming as usual and was rushing about but seemed to be struggling a little. She left shortly after I arrived. The woman who replaced her, heard a young staff member called her Matty? I don't know where the company found her. She strutted about like she owned the place, a lot of movement but very little actual work. A very cold atmosphere towards customers and I don't know if she's a trainee or what but they need to replace her with someone who actually wants to do the job. She seemed to appear to do 10 minutes work and then stop for 20. Regularly disappeared, leaving the other staff in the lurch and just didn't seem to know what she was doing. Her customer service was terrible as well and I heard multiple customers comment on her behaviour. It just seemed to bring the entire atmosphere down and once I noticed, I couldn't not notice. On a plus note, the coffee was amazing as usual.

  Often visit here and find the establishment to be clean, friendly and well presented for customers new and existing. I find there is a reasonable selection available, however what kills it for me on the 5 stars isnt anything the staff are doing.. but a mere supply chain issue. If something runs out seems to sometimes take a while to get back in. This place is dog friendly and when here with my two I always invest in a spot of lunch for them as well..
