  I'd had the absolute worst day. I'd missed my flight to Tokyo after my train had stopped dead for 2 hours, and neither China Eastern nor booking.com cared. I had to re-book the flight at my own expense, and I needed a calm, grounding place to do that; this was it. After a day of full-on stress where everything was out of my hands, I was able to regroup and was treated normally and politely, as a customer, by the smiling barman and waitresses. I think this wouldn't have hit home so much on any other day, but having good friendly service, a well-poured pint, and comforting food, really helped me reset.

  Popped in for food and drink between flights. Food was good but the stand out acknowledgement must go to Lewis! Lewis was polite, professional and couldn't do enough to ensure we had a positive experience! Absolutely exemplary service! It's been a long time since l had such great service. Sussex House Lewis is my mere opinion Lewis is your star staff member 11 out of 10!! 🌟Thank you.

  Popped in for a bite to eat. Served by Lewis who had such a nice manner about him- Warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful. This really stood out as exceptional. Thank you Lewis. Food was nice. I think maybe the quality of meat could have been a little better.Had ham egg and bubble. Piccalilli was lovely- and Lewis kindly brought me over some more. Would definitely return. Lewis is a credit to your business.

  Experience here was fantastic. I love the restaurant, layout. Staff were very friendly & efficient. Great service, atmosphere and lush food. Great value for money. I had few starters for under £10 each so inc drink was £30. I ordered Honey and mustard chipolatas and Fried crispy prawns & boy they were delicious. Fresh, well cooked and arrived promptly. You have amazing menu, there were so many multiple choices which is great. Javid in particular was very helpful friendly professional and polite. He made me feel welcome. Definitely will come back here again. Also will recommend friends and family to come. A very happy customer Angela Flake

  Excellent service! Our waiter Javid was friendly, attentive, and very professional throughout our meal. He made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive and made us feel genuinely welcome. His positive attitude and great customer service really added to our dining experience. A real credit to the restaurant — thank you for looking after us so well!
