About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

This gregs has been upgraded looking more like Costa Coffee which isn't a bad thing. Much more clean design inside, more open and very welcoming to start with. Ordered 2 pizza slices (not bad price) and tea and coffee. Coffee was okay. The cakes seemed very expensive compared to a bakery. We we're asked if we were eating in, I said yes...but will we be charge extra. He said yes. Found a table and sat down....oh my days, the table had other tea marks and the floor was pretty dirty with crumbs. So what was I paying for, for eating in 🤔 So I have given it a 4 star, as I saw three other staff members but nobody cleaning. There was a young staff members changing the bins and was engaging with people, which was nice to see. Atmosphere: was very calm, relaxed and pretty decor and colours. Very impressive with that. Not a bad experience at all 🙃👌 Parking: Paid parking at NCP behind gregs or county mall. A few other places around town.

Went to this store today and claimed freebies for the first time .freebies is for hot or cold drink but when asked the staff said she can only give donuts .we mentioned that the freebies says hot or cold drinks only after that she agreed and said only hot chocolate is covered . As the freebies didn't say that only hot chocolate is covered. Very worst service and not responding properly to the customer. We have even purchased few pizzas for kids but the taste was horrible and taste like old. Not happy with the staff and service.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
