We tried this restaurant for the first time, and to be honest I was not impressed
We had the roast beef and the portion size of meat was very disappointing,
asked the waitress if this was a normal size portion and she said yes I thought they had run out of beef, didn’t ask if we wanted anymore it was like a child’s portion , I could of made a small sandwich out of both of our portions.
We had Yorkshire pudding which was nice had 1 carrot small half of parsnip and some cabbage and potatoes unfortunately we wont be going back

First time visiting this pub, on appearance it is nice however staff are unwelcoming & slow to serve. Stood waiting to be seen for some time, I asked to be sat in the garden and wasn’t sure where to go as wasn’t given any sense of direction. Had to ask for cutlery/sauces etc and just pointed at where they would be.
Food is tasty but warm.

Attractive pub and setting but sadly we were disappointed when we visited for a birthday lunch in the garden. From the start, we found the staff to be rather unwelcoming and uninterested, and we increasingly felt that pub customers were more of a burden rather than guests to be looked after. There were long delays and confusion with our food orders, and the quality of the dishes was below what we would have expected for the price. The ploughman’s included only a small wedge of cheddar in addition to the ham hock, and lacked much of the variety and many of the extras (eg butter, pickled onion, chutney) normally provided. The club sandwich was very dry with no obvious butter or mayo, and the toasted bread almost too tough to bite into. We left much of our meals.
The staff replaced the crab crostini but offered no apology or discount for anything else. We left feeling disappointed that none of the staff appeared to want to take any responsibility or address our concerns.

Fabulous pub, absolutely superb Sunday Roast. Highly recommend the ham hock terrine and roast beef. The sticky toffee pudding with chocolate & Guinness ice cream was amazing. Excellent, reasonably priced wine list and classic cocktails.
