⭐ 1 star – Extremely disappointing service from McDonald’s Burgess Hill Another very disappointing experience ordering from McDonald’s Burgess Hill via Just Eat. Once again, items were missing from my order. On this occasion, the fries were missing from all of the meals ordered. These are basic items that should be checked before an order leaves the restaurant. What makes this particularly frustrating is that this is not the first time this has happened. I previously complained and was told that McDonald’s expected staff to check orders properly, that my comments would be passed on to the restaurant as part of their regular reviews, and that staff would be reminded to be more vigilant. Clearly, the lessons haven't been learned because I'm now experiencing the same problems again. I was also offered a £10 goodwill voucher because of the previous experience. Unfortunately, I've tried using that voucher on three separate occasions and it doesn't work. So not only am I repeatedly receiving incomplete orders, but the goodwill gesture offered to compensate for the previous problem doesn't actually work either. I completely understand that mistakes can happen, particularly during busy periods. However, when the same basic mistakes keep happening after customers have already complained, it becomes very difficult to accept that anything is actually being done to improve the service. Customers shouldn't have to repeatedly check their bags, discover missing items, contact customer services and then be given vouchers that don't work. I have now formally raised the issue with McDonald's and asked them to explain what action was taken following my previous complaint, why this has happened again, and what they are actually going to do to prevent it happening in the future. McDonald’s Burgess Hill really needs to address this. Repeatedly getting basic orders wrong is unacceptable, particularly when previous complaints have apparently already been passed on to the restaurant. Hopefully this time the feedback will result in some actual improvement rather than simply another apology.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was awarded the worst McDonalds globally - their food's okay, but they consistently get orders wrong, take far too long (I've waited an hour before parked up at the drive through) and cancel delivery orders - the latest being a breakfast order that was order well within the cutoff time and took 2hrs before getting cancelled If you're craving McDonalds, Gatwick may be the better option.

Would give zero stars if possible. Possibly the worst run McDonalds ever experienced, and the standard of service has gotten worse over the last year when that didn't seem possible. I won't ever be returning. Drive thru doesn't exist. You will wait to place your order, or to simply give them your pickup code. You'll wait to get to the pickup window. You'll then be asked to park up, and yes, wait again, for your food. 10-20+ minutes later you'll possibly receive the correct order, cold and obviously slapped together by someone who clearly has better things to do. I've literally waited over 25 minutes before to pickup an app order through drive thru. I've waited over 5 minutes to give them my pickup code with no other cars in line, driven to empty windows in frustration, waited until someone finally appeared, to them be told to go around and drive through again because someone will now be there. Its mind boggling just how poorly run this place is. This place makes a mockery of the term fast food. Save your money. At these prices, go to a local cafe, sit down and have a freshly made meal. No doubt it will at least be quicker than eating here. Don't believe the fake 5 star reviews here and note how many 1 star reviews there are...

Extremely disappointing experience. I pre-ordered and paid for our McDonald’s breakfast online specifically so it would be ready for collection when we arrived. We also notified the restaurant that we were there before joining the drive-through queue. Despite this, we were left waiting in the drive-through for around 20 minutes. When we finally reached the collection point, it was only approximately five minutes after 11am, yet we were told that breakfast service had ended and they could no longer make our order. This is incredibly frustrating. We had already placed and paid for the order, and it should have been prepared and waiting for us. We should not lose out on an order simply because we were delayed by the restaurant’s own queue. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak to a manager, there was a significant language barrier which made the conversation extremely difficult and confusing. There was no meaningful attempt to resolve the situation. Overall, a very poor experience. The whole point of ordering and paying in advance is to make collection straightforward, yet we ended up waiting around 20 minutes and then being told we couldn't have the breakfast we had already paid for. I hope McDonald’s reviews this incident and explains how this is considered acceptable customer service or re-evaluates how preorder situations are handled.

The nice thing about McDonald's is that virtually every one of them has a fantastic reputation for missing out items from your order—having not yet come to fully understand or realise what the revolutionary concept of order accuracy means. Whether this is down to some sort of cognitive deficit, a lack of any decent management, or profound spiritual apathy. Thankfully this one doesn't let down on any of those fronts! For being in possession of such a dazzling reputation, you'd think that the McDonald's R&D department would crack this new age puzzle of 'checking a bag before handing it over'. But expecting basic competence from global fast-food logistics is a fool's errand. The food from the one in Burgess Hill looks architectural in its devastation, like it was put together by a child who suffers from extreme epilepsy, with all the grace of a tectonic plate shift. Finally the order accuracy is a very bold statement indeed and one which is completely juxtaposed in this site. Frequenting this restaurant is a rare treat and one that we anticipate with the profound doom that it so richly deserves!
