  We have been going to Esquires approximately 5 years and following new management taking over we find her a lovely, friendly, smiling person. She is definitely in the right industry, she makes us so welcome as do her staff, of which some are new, but they are all good. We enjoy, the coffee and food which is why we return up to 3 times a week. After reading some poor reviews I had to write a review. I was brought up if you can't say it to persons face don't say it all, even worse to write it, hiding behind anonymity.

  After reading some of the reviews that have been recently left, I felt the need to post my own review, as I'm sure the bad reviews are from disgruntled people just trying to discredit the new owner. Firstly, yes prices have risen but this is being experienced everywhere so it's not isolated to this one venue and, if anything, the food has improved and with more selection available. The cafe is changing for the better and also has a lovely refurbished toilet facility and we're looking forward to the next phase of the planned refurbishment. As ever, the staff that remained and the new staff are always happy and very pleasant, with nothing being too much trouble for them, they go above and beyond to make the visit enjoyable which keeps us returning three to four times a week. As for the clientele, we have forged friends with quite a few, which makes our visits to the cafe, something we look forward to. It upsets me to think people can be verbally distructve, to another person. Please visit the cafe yourself and make your own mind up as these negative comments are unfounded in my opinion. Keep up the good work guys, you make our day seeing and hearing you.

  Gammon and ham sandwich. Yuk!! Two bites of wet. sogginess and it was binned.

  Miss the long term staff that have all left. Prices seem to have gone up 3 times since last summer and coffee not as good as it was. New owner needs to smile a bit. Go elsewhere now.
