  The ferry sticks out as a beacon, like a mirage in Wallasey. Combined with the mersey front it should be an obligatory stop on any passing travellers

  Absolutely delicious food, our group had the chicken gyros, Southern fried chicken burger and mixed grill. Worth upgrading to the chilli salt seasoning on the fries. The 'sharing' cookie dough dessert was unbelievably good. Staff were really attentive, friendly and genuinely lovely people. One of the best for food and beautiful views this side of the Mersey. We look forward to returning soon to try other dishes on the menu and for the new themed nights.

  We tried the Eggy Ferry, now known simply as The Ferry, after it was taken over by a young lad who definitely seems to know what he’s doing! 👏 Having been there quite a few times previously, I have to be honest and say I’d been very disappointed. But WOW… what a change! 😍 We were so impressed with the Sunday dinner that we’ve already booked again for this Sunday — and this time we’re bringing more of the family with us! The roast beef dinner was absolutely fantastic. 🥰 Lovely fresh vegetables, beautiful beef and a really nice gravy. Everything was cooked and presented really well, and for £14.99, we honestly thought it was well worth the money. We did order extra pigs in blankets and were accidentally charged for four portions when it should have been three, as the chicken dinner apparently already comes with them. We only realised this afterwards, but honestly, after speaking to the new owner, I’m certain he would have sorted the mix-up out there and then. He was lovely, and you can tell from speaking to him that he genuinely cares about the place and wants to get things right. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was lovely, and we’ll definitely be making this a regular place for Sunday dinner. ❤️ We’re even seriously considering having our Christmas dinner at the new Ferry! 🎄🍽️ It’s lovely to see such a positive change, and I really hope the new owner gets the support he deserves. Keep up the good work! 👏

  This is a lovely little period pub, great staff and service, good selection of beers on tap, spirits and drinks, brilliant on a sunny day in the summer with vistas of the award winning Liverpool city waterfront, Liver birds and the new hill Dickinson stadium which is right opposite. Highly recommend.

  The ferry did not disappoint ❤️ The staff are friendly and happy laughing and joking with customers, we originally ordered a table on the upper deck but the weather is gorgeous so we informed the staff we would like to sit outside which they happily accommodated We had the trio of roasts and the chicken roast The food was priced competitively and there was plenty on our plates. Although a little lacking Gravy but the staff once notified immediately rectified this minor issue with more gravy ( nice touch ) All in all a very pleasant experience and enjoyable afternoon Ignore the negative feedback , all is well and ship shape at the Ferry Wallasey
