  Used to love going here for great food and friendly staff........not any more. Disappointing service.... Tea and hot chocolate taste terrible. Food was average. Won't be eating here anymore. Great location and outlook over the Mersey.....

  Had pre booked and a table was reserved for us in the lower restaurant. Service wasn't great to be fair. No one even acknowledged we were sat at the table to take drinks order or anything. After 25 minutes went to the bar to ask for menus. Dirty plates and glasses on a few tables in the lower dining room, did get cleared away eventually. Still no one came to ask if we wanted drinks or to order food, even though another table near us had an order taken. Went to order and pay at the bar. Once ordered the food did arrive fairly quickly, was all of a good standard, and all very reasonably priced. Apart from what seemed like a manager lady on the bar, who was a bit more chatty, a couple of staff seemed like they couldn't care less, no smiles, no asking if all ok, no personality whatsoever. One i had asked for the menus really looked like she couldn't be bothered. This place will always be fairly busy and get custom, due to location, and with so many people walking and cycling past. A bit more customer care and focus would go a long way. In summary: Staff and service side= v. poor, food and value for money= good.

  Went to the Ferry which we've frequented alot, after it's recent renovation. New menu new food thought I'd give the schnitzel ago. It was quite tasty and a huge schnitzel piece. I thought I could've had a few more fries as the amount didn't look very big, but I was still full when I got to the end of my plate. Staff are alway pleasant and friendly in there, plus as a bonus you have the fantastic view of the bootle to Liverpool across the water.

  We’ve come here twice after it re opening first time there was no gammon left to be served on a mix grill couldn’t add anything to replace it and mix grill was 18.99 got told we had to pay extra to replace gammon no discount of bill either , Sunday my parents come for a roast dinner and most the food was out of service it wasn’t even a full roast dinner and had to pay full price again.

  My self and 3 of my friends came on Friday after work for some food and a drink, the food was amazing and the lady that was taking our order was really friendly and had good conversation. We enjoyed the food and decided to get a drink and go outside, my sister joined us about an hour later, we decided to go back inside and get another drink, upon doing so we were served by a young girl on the bar who was nothing but rude and made us feel really uncomfortable, we ordered three drinks all with lemonade as a mixer, myself and my friend took a sip and it didnt taste right, the lemonade had run out and the girl said she would change it and our drinks. She came back about 10 minutes later and changed 2 of the drinks, the larger top she gave us back, my sister kindly asked if that had also been changed as we didnt see her, she was very snappy and rolled her eyes. This is not what we expected as the service earlier on in the night had been great, this girl totally ruined the rest of the experience and embarrassed us as the bar area was full of customers and she was so rude. Not the kind of experience paying customers should had, and she shouldnt work in hospitality if this is how she treats people. Overall the other lady who served us the food was lovely and was a prime example of how customers should be treated, new menu was great to, just a shame that the other lady ruined the vibe.
