- CCCharles3 days ago1.0Poor service and a disappointing experience I visited Greggs in Liscard today around 5:20pm and was told that the sausage roll was hot. However, after it was sold to me, I discovered that it was actually cold. I asked a member of staff if he could heat it up, but he told me he wasn’t allowed to do so and put the sausage roll in the bin instead. I was then told to wait another 7 minutes for a replacement. It was frustrating and disappointing to be sold a product described as hot when it was cold, and then have to wait another 7 minutes to get what I had paid for. The staff should ensure that hot food is actually served hot and communicate clearly with customers. Overall, a very poor customer experience. I expected better service from Greggs.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
