  i came into the Co-op on henwick road with my partner to by myself some vape pods. unfortunately my partner hadn’t got his ID with him so the staff member wouldn’t serve us. i went home with my partner and came back alone, he still wouldn’t serve me even though i had sufficient ID. I then explained to him that i live opposite the shops so i was returning as a single customer. he continued to refuse and was rude so i requested to speak to a senior member of staff - the gentleman met me with hostility and didn’t want to do this so i requested again for a manager and after his ego complex he requested his manager. the manager came out and i politely explained the circumstances - he too gave me the same response so after a minute of conversing i said “okay, whatever” and left the store. the manager then continued to stand by the door of the shop and raise his voice at me in front of other customers even after i had left the premises so i requested he “shut up” as i felt intimidated at his persistence and hostility. i then returned 5 minutes later with my partner and both of our IDs as requested by the staff and i was refused service once again. at this point i was very disgruntled and stated i wanted to make a formal complaint so asked for some form of identification (name, staff ID etc.) once again he refused to identify himself and told me i was permanently banned from the shop. at no point during any of these interactions did i raise my voice, use foul language or display disrespect towards staff. i was visibly disgruntled and intimidated which is understandable but i can not comprehend the lack of decorum and respect from the staff in this shop. i have been using this as my local shop for years and the staff are always amazing and polite and helpful - i have never seen the 2 men i interacted with today so i can only assume they are new. i am concerned that they are not capable of dealing with the general public effectively and safely for all involved and i would like to know action has been taken regarding this situation. thanks

  I have Amazon parcels delivered here, when i go in to collect it seems to be a big inconvenience to the staff, comments have been i never buy anything? I have had one female swear beacause its so much trouble and shes having problems cleaning the coffee machine, the manager looks as though he wants to spit at me for putting him out, if its too much trouble don't do it.

  I have been served many times by a lovely young lady called Katie. I have been overwhelmed at her friendliness and service! She is such an asset to the store! I've never had a bad experience in store and all staff are lovely, but Katie really is amazing! I would like to thank her for being such a shining star in a very dull world!
