  Went with some friends since we saw the remodel, and was disappointed to be honest. I asked what different gins they did, and the bartender pointed at a single bottle and said "that one". I awkwardly said okay and got that gin. Afterwards, my parter if they had any other beers other than the ones on tap Infront of us, and the bartender glance at their friend, laughed, glanced at the taps and said nothing. It was extremely odd and awkward. Drinks were very expensive, and not much choice either. We all felt very uneasy, and left after one drink. The building does look lovely, but we just felt uncomfortable with the staff not speaking to us.

  Me and my girlfriend live within walking distance to the pub, tonight we decided to give it a go for the first time having recently moved to maidenhead There were no tables in the main restaurant so we found a table in the bar and i went up to order our food. I ordered with a guy in a white shirt with tattoos, he took my order which came to over £100 he didn’t read the order back to me. He took my money and said he would bring what i ordered to the table without giving me a receipt. When i asked for a receipt he paused for a second and then printed one off. Half way through my meal i read the receipt and noticed i was charged 12.5% service charge on a meal i had to order at the bar and i was not notified about! I understand adding this if it was table service but to not mention it, to not give me a receipt and add it on to a meal i had to order at the bar for felt like a complete scam! The only reason i am not rating this a 1 star is because the food was good and there was a very hard working waiter on the floor with a ear piece in who we gave a cash tip too. Still would probably not go back simply on principle of the money grab!

  What an absolute find. We were travelling back home after a horrendous journey and we needed a break and decent food. We came across this lovely venue and we're not disappointed. The welcome from the staff was really first class, they made us feel welcome and very efficient service. The food was also excellent, my husband had fish and chips and I had the trout, well presented and delicious. The only niggle was the music being played was great, but just a little bit too loud, it should be in the background, but loud enough to hear. But we will definitely visit again if in the area.

  Went for lunch and opted for the lunchtime £14.50 deal. Had fish and chips with a drink, which I feel is reasonably priced given that alcohol is included in the deal. The food was amazing, really tasty and the chef came to the table after for feedback on any improvements which I thought was above and beyond. No complaints at all and will 100% be back. Lady serving (Anna) was also very friendly, and both staff members are a credit to the team 😊

  Ich bin gerade in England auf Urlaub und wollte dieses Pub testen, habe gehört heute war eine Neueröffnung. Der Start war sehr durcheinander aber ich dachte mir ich gebe eine zweite Chance. Beim zweiten Mal lief es besser, der Manager war äußerst nett. (ich und meine Freunde bekamen sogar ein gratis Getränk.) Was den Abend jedoch sehr unangenehm gemacht hat, war eine Kellnerin, die offenbar etwas gegen einen Freund von mir hatte. Sie war sehr unfreundlich, auch zu meinem restlichen Freunden und sowas ist schlichtweg inakzeptable und äußert unprofessionell. Ich wollte eine letze Runde für meine Freunde bestellen, doch diese blonde Kellnerin (ich glaube namens Evie) verweigerte dies nur weil mein Freund dabei war. Unglaublich… Ich weiß nicht ob so eine Person geeignet für diesen Job ist. Ich habe sowas noch nie erlebt. Sie hat das Erlebnis im Pub sehr negativ beeinflusst, sehr schade.
