  Just had an awful experience at this store, whilst going through scan as you shop a store assistant was required to itemise check a number of items, this happens its usually fine. However the lady today ripped a number of boxes, had 0 regard for any of the items broke and flattened food, then when asked to be careful yanked the bag of shopping from the trolley ripping the bag apart in doing so, her response "its just a bag" whilst ramming every item back in forcefully. This was a £160 shop, all items were present and packed carefully. She was outright rude, obnoxious and quite frankly and embarrassment to the rest of her colleagues who are often so helpful at this store. We wont return.

  Tesco, what has happened to your customer service? Your staff often come across as neither polite nor courteous. They regularly move through you without acknowledgement while stacking shelves or moving stock. Not so much as an "excuse me" or "thank you". The only time they seem happy is when they're talking to each other. Thursday the 9th was a typical example. That said, I must mention one young lady working in the cake aisle who was friendly and courteous - a rare occurrence. You are continually overpriced and it's hard to see what loyalty you show your customers. The Clubcard simply isn't worth what it used to be either. Lidl and Aldi are offering better products at lower prices, combined with friendly staff, making it increasingly difficult to justify shopping at Tesco. So i don't much anymore. It makes me wonder, could Jack Cohen have built Tesco from scratch today if these were his values? 🤔 NO.
