About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

It's just a tiny Greggs go down (Direction to the Livingston Designer Outlet), and there is one proper Greggs. Avoid this little Greggs,go to a normal one. Also the signs are outdated...

the old person with glasses (whom i presume is also the shift manager) is quite rude. i bought a meal deal with a sausage roll as apart of the side/snack and asked if i could also have two more sausage rolls on-top of that, and i politely clarified if i was correct in saying that was three sausage rolls in total. i presume she misheard me or confused herself because she then got really snappy and irritable at me thinking i asked for four of them for £3. i didn't exactly want to make a fuss about it, because its a busy shopping centre and i'd rather have people not staring at me so i just paid for the meal deal and walked away.

While some of the staff are polite and helpful there are several who just can't be bothered and need motivated . the dining area is not cleaned enough the waste disposal areas are not emptied frequently often overflowing the trays are taken from there for immediate re allocation without being cleaned .management needs looked at some staff should be commended whilst others need encouraged to reach the same standard.

staff are EXTREMELY rude. shift manager was working today, and she was not kind, delightful or providing a good service. i ordered a coffee and some sausage rolls, and then proceeded to take a seat in the greggs area with my 2 year old. she randomly started shouting and said “thats for sit in customers only” i then showed her the products i had just bought. she said “you took away your food” never once was i asked sit in or takeaway. she then proceeded to shout at me and my 2 year old son to get out. i left the food there and will NOT be returning if she is on tills. extremely rude didnt catch a name. she was the shift manager.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
