We had a lovely meal here while staying at the Premier Inn, the service was spot on and the food was delicious.

We were stopping in the hotel and so had prepaid for meal deals. We arrived at the restaurant at 21:20 to be told the last food order was 21:45 and they were closing at 22:00. We were fine by this as we were just grabbing something quick after a long journey. The manager sat us down and then began rushing us to order drinks and food. Whilst waiting for our food, the manager was hectic and running around the restaurant clearing tables and making people order as fast as possible. This alone ruined the atmosphere and made me anxious to even be sat waiting. Come 21:45 we were then told it was last drinks at the bar. Again we were fine by this. 22;00 the bar was still operating and pulling drinks for other people and was in fact not closed as the manager stated. A lovely waitress cleared our table and gave us our bill. When paying for the bill she advised us that in fact, the manager who seated us, should have asked us before ordering whether we had meal deals. Due to this and the hectic mannerism of the manager, we felt we could not order our desert as we were entitled to. The lovely waitress offered us to take a desert home however we declined as we felt like we would have to rush again choosing and the kitchen had been closed already. We appreciate we went in before closing however the restaurant did not close as they said and the actions of the management ruined the meal for us. Whether we were sat before closing or not, I don’t believe we should be made to rush how we were when we had plenty of time anyway. Due to the lack of communication from the manager when first sat and the anxiety causing us to feel like we couldn’t order our desert, we over spent by prepaying for the meal deals as our bill was only £30 and the meal deals would have equalled at least £15 each for the dinner and then the £10 for breakfast per person.

It is what it is. Fine for a quick meeting, but food was standard fare. Bit noisy and smelled weird near the bar.

Entrance had 3 cigarette butts to welcome us. Table was sticky to touch. Food less than mediocre. The Mediterranean salad looked like it was made last week. Couldn't eat it and the only edible item was flat bread. Avoid at all costs! Over priced and dismal food served by tired servers. One star is being generous but as attached to hotel Premier Inn and no other restaurants in walking distance.

AVOID! Asked for medium rare & was provided well done, I asked politely for the steak to be made as instructed (with a name like beef eater you’d think they would know how to cook beef evidently not ) the well done over cooked steak I was originally provided was reproduced back to me with the only addition of the missing sauce that they forgot to put on the side. The staff apologised and refunded me (now as I was a table of 2 you’d think this was a complimentary refund as a sorry for mucking this up so badly) no they just refunded it & Canceled so we sat there a further 10 mins waiting on a med/rare steak to then have the burger go completely cold. It’s manners to wait on all meals arrive at the table before eating. The burger was sent back too as surprisingly this was stone cold before we realised their poor communication & cooking & serving skill had failed us. My partner asked to speak to a manager and was ignored. This fell below the expectation that one would expect from any establishment. 1) poor cooking skill 2) over priced meals for the dead area of Livingston (nearly £20 a burger) 3) poor waiting skills 4) poor customer service McDonald’s is round the corner , just go there! Least you know what to expect!
