  Been a Tesco customer for over 40 years. This Tesco is my local one. Always parking spaces even at peak times. This has a café upstairs.

  Located outside of the main town with a free good size car park. Laid out different to our normal Tesco and found it a little strange but the staff were helpful. No rotisserie chicken and freshly cooked meat section. Good space between the sections to move around. Overall a good shop

  Shopped in this store for as long as I can remember but unfortunately, it’s consistently declined in many ways over the years. As a child, I remember a meat counter, fish counter and hot chickens - all gone today despite the store being considerably larger than what it was back then. It’s also used to be a 24 hour store but they never brought this back after reducing hours because of the COVID lockdown - this was an absolute saviour to me when I used to work late nights as a chef. The general quality of produce isn’t particularly impressive for the price that you pay, the staff (both Tesco’s own and the security staff) are often rude for no reason and the general shopping experience is just incredibly stressful. You’re lucky to find a manned till open, forcing you take a whole trollies worth of shopping to the self checkout on many occasions. If this isn’t bad enough, to rub salt in the wound, only about 1/4 of those self checkouts accept cash. So you’re often waiting in queue to use a checkout despite there being multiple free, simply because you’ve chosen to use the traditional payment method of cash (something that many vulnerable people rely on). This is incredibly anxiety inducing at times - I understand that many shops do this now but I’ve never known one to have any less than half take cash. The only reason it’s gets two stars and not one is because it has the best selection of any shop in Trowbridge due to being the largest but this really is the only thing going for it at this point. You get better quality, value and service in many shops around here (even from the budget shops in many cases). I myself have gone from using it as my main supermarket, spending hundreds of pounds a month, to using it for convenience purposes only, spending a fraction of what I used to.
