Father Day dinner 6 of us service was great and very prompt. Food was very good and more than ample servings. The restaurant was a very pleasant arrangement and although busy not cramped. The outside area has a stream running through it with tables widely spaced and space for kids to run around ( my children are all grown up and paying for my meal)
There are some great walks along the canal just down the road. Can't say anything about the rooms because we didn't stay.

Quality food and a quality location. Decided to have a basic ham egg and chips, but what came out was far from basic. It was incredible. The atmosphere was amazing and we can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely beautiful food, well worth waiting for. Staff are fantastic, they were short staffed and completely rushed off their feet and they were all trying to pull together, Nicola was great, kept us entertained 😁 we will be back and highly recommend this beautiful pub

Came for lunch on Saturday and initially impressed by the location and warm welcome. However, the pub was horribly short staffed and service was beyond slow. When we eventually got our main, which was nice but perhaps not worth the prices, no one came to collect our finished plates and despite us wanting pudding, we ended up giving up after waiting about an hour after finishing our mains and went elsewhere. To have only two staff serving on a bank holiday weekend was unforgivable really. Other tables were clearly getting angry by the lack of service.
