Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.
Went in at 7am to grab a coffee and I had the loveliest young man serve me!
I only wanted a coffee but the customer service I received was second to none and he has set me up for my day.
I left feeling in such a happy mood and that is what customer service is all about!
I didn’t get his name unfortunately but I hustled wanted to say thankyou for making me smile!

If I could give zero stars or minus stars I would. Decided to have a Sunday morning treat and order some breakfast via just eat. Couldn't have had a worse experience. When it arrived the bag with the coffee in was dripping and torn and the delivery driver just said oh that bag is a bit torn and then walked away very quickly yelling back for the delivery code (couldn't wait to get away fast enough). Coffee was nearly entirely spilt in the bag. Then when we opened up the food bag neither the sausage baguettes we ordered were in there - instead there was one stone cold sausage bap. The hash browns were crushed and barely warm. The only thing that was ok was a bottle of Fanta..... congratulations for getting a bottle of Fanta right. I have no idea if they just didn't have any baguettes left but normally someone calls and tells you. Now we are out of pocket, no food and have to wait days for someone from just eat to get back to us to decide whether we'll get a refund. Not impressed at all. Have had issues before with this particular Greggs ... Will never be using again either via delivery or in store and you can guarantee not only will I not be recommending you to anyone I will be sure to tell everyone what a awful experience we've had ... More than once now!

Breakfast advertised to serve until 11am. Customer shouldn’t be told no breakfast at 10:45am because the staff are unorganised. The staff should have enough to meet the breakfast criteria. Please note next time serve breakfast until advertised time.

This is great here. Much better than the one in my home town. The service was amazing. The lady that served us was really patient with the individual that I was supporting.
Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.
What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
