  I’m really disappointed with what Co-op has done to our local shop. This isn’t a big supermarket where everyone is rushing around. It’s the place people go for milk, bread and daily essentials. It’s also one of the last little community hubs we have, where people exchange short but meaningful conversations with the staff and with each other. Putting in one self-service till to help at busy times would have made sense. Instead, they’ve put several right in front of the cashier. It couldn’t feel more antisocial, and it has completely changed the atmosphere of the shop. It feels like a decision made purely for profit, with no real benefit to the community, the customers or the staff. That is especially disappointing from a company that claims to care about community. It is horrible, and Co-op should take them out if it has any real respect for the community this shop serves.

  The staff are doing their best, but the labelling seems to deliberately mislead. As an example 2 different types of milk on one label - one for £1.75 and one for £3.25 with the small Print being completely illegible.

  Staff are always miserable and never ask if we have a co op saver card and 2 times found out off date food on shelfs. There is definitely no manners or customer service from this team!
