  I visited this pub restaurant with my partner as its local to us and the food is usually okay and the staff can be friendly. However, recently we had a poor experience where the food was cold and the chicken was burnt. The manager didn't ask us how the food was afterwards so we left and made a complaint to Head Office. Head Office apologised and gave us a £20 voucher to do use next time we visited. We visited recently to use it and to give them another chance as previous visits have been better and it might have been a one off. The food came promptly and was hot and tasty. Although the burger was wrong as it had onion on it and I specifically asked for no onion when I ordered it and there was a tiny amount of BBQ sauce on the burger. This was put right by the female manager and we were happy. After we finished our meal, the female manager came over to ask how it was. My partner said about the burger. My meal was okay. She got defensive and said "are you the people who complained before". She told us not to come back and that we are banned. We said to her. How can you ban someone for making a complaint? She didn't really have an answer to that she just said Florin the restaurant manager doesn't want you back again. We didn't understand why and it made us really annoyed and confused. We had a long conversation with the female manager by our table so it wasn't exactly a private conversation and people sat nearby could hear. We left and made yet another complaint to Head Office who responded to us saying that the female manager had no authority to ban us and that it was unacceptable behaviour from her and the restaurant manager. There was no reason to ban us and we got an apology and a refund of the meals. It's unacceptable that staff treat loyal customers in this way. There is absolutely no need for it. But we are glad that the staff in question have been dealt with and spoken too about their behaviour. We definitely wouldn't suggest visiting this restaurant. It used to be okay but not anymore. Management are the ones who ruin the experience.

  Was actually suited for what we wanted a chilled beer and a bit of time together but nothing to fancy .

  Scrambled egg & baked beans had too much liquid, very sloppy, most if the breakfast cooked ok, except the black pudding which was over cooked & the half tomatoes were nearly uncooked. By the time you get your drink made, do some toast after waiting your turn, that by the time you get to select the breakfast, is cold, the food itself honestly needed at least 90+ seconds in a microwave as most was only tepid under the serving lamps, & by the time you've got to your table the whole lots isn't that hot. Not the worst cooked breakfast I've ever had, as that one was on fathers day 2 years ago at the same brewers Fayre, & this visit was to see if they'd improved. You decide.

  Food's OK, service rubbish. Came to counter, greeted abruptly. Told we didn't have a reservation (when we did), my wife then found it on their system. We were then told to wait whilst a couple behind us were served before us as we were told to wait on the side. No reason to be disrespected as a family and no one likes being treated poorly. Get a grip brewers fayre.
