About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Visited for breakfast, food very average, staff gruff and abrupt. Not a good Greggs. Victoria definitely looks old enough to know better and needs a refresher on how to speak to people properly. Or maybe just had a rough morning.. It never costs anything to smile and say thank you.

Why has the unit been closed for the last two Tuesdays at 16:00? It is not advertised on the door or anywhere?

Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone in the morning most you’ll get is a cold sausage roll all workers do is chat and are too lazy to stock up on anything hot ,no word of a lie I have been 5 times in the past 3 weeks and same thing nothing baked apart from cold sausage rolls or a dry croissant I do hope a higher up sees this and gets it in check, running a Greggs when half the menu isnt available 🤦‍♂️ joke. If you don’t believe me reply to this and I’ll go in the following morning and take a picture of what they have available and add it here

The old lady (Sandy) working there could learn some basic manners and etiquette. Her ability to turn customers to stone with her icy glare and cold tone is enough to put anyone off returning.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
