  Unfortunately this is the closest McDonald’s to me, so I’ve been here more times than I’d like, and the same problems happen again and again. I almost always use the drive-through and my orders are normally pretty straightforward, yet I’m constantly told to park up and wait. Usually that means another 10–20 minutes, assuming you can actually find a space in the tiny, extremely cramped car park. The bigger issue is that even after waiting, the order is very regularly wrong. I’ve had large items come as mediums, meals missing their fries, paid-for dips missing, the wrong burger, or a smaller version of what I actually ordered. It’s happened enough times that checking the entire bag before leaving has basically become essential. What makes it particularly frustrating is that the mistakes always seem to involve something missing, smaller or cheaper than what I paid for. I genuinely can’t remember ever getting an accidental extra. Given how regularly basic orders are incorrect, I’d also be very cautious if I had allergies or specific dietary requirements. I’ve finally reached the point where I’d rather drive the extra distance to the Dumbarton McDonald’s, because my experience there has been significantly better. One bad visit happens anywhere; when it’s nearly every visit, there’s clearly a bigger problem.

  Not an easy place to get in to as you are queuing on a very busy main road. Discovered items missing from our order once we left but it was resolved by a phone call and we collected items later same day. Good and drinks we did have were good. Staff friendly and helpful.

  Lomond Shores. What an awful experience, got the order wrong 4 times. Told that their milkshakes are now officially watery, no ice? Instead of giving us another drink, was told we could have our money back. Was some serious attitude with this young man/lady. Extremely rude, spoke to manager and they still got the order wrong. I can see now why the car park was empty. Always had a wonderful experience here? Such a shame.

  Stopped at this McDonald’s while we were up in Scotland and overall it was an alright experience. The food was pretty much what you’d expect from McDonald’s nothing particularly good or bad, and everything was fine. The main downside was the staff, who seemed a little miserable and not particularly welcoming. I know everyone has off days, but a friendlier attitude would have made the experience better. Overall, it did the job and the food was okay, but there wasn’t anything that really stood out.
