Soak up our friendly service and homely charm nestled in the heart of West Berkshire's racing countryside. Dating back to the 19th Century, the Crown & Horns is a beautiful country inn with heaps of character and history. The perfect place to sit back and relax with your favourite drink in hand.
We had such a lovely experience at the Crown & Horns . The chicken and ham pie was absolutely delicious — full of flavour, beautifully cooked and definitely one of the best pies we’ve had in a long time! 😍
I also have to give a special mention to Michelle, the manager. She was absolutely fantastic from the moment we arrived. She was so warm, welcoming and professional, and genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. You could really tell that Michelle cares about the pub, the customers and making sure everyone has a great experience. She was friendly, approachable and made us feel really welcome, which makes such a difference when you’re eating out.
The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere and the area is really nice too. It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into making the place feel welcoming.
Thank you to Michelle and the team for such a lovely experience. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend the Crown & Horns to anyone looking for great food and a warm, friendly welcome! ❤️

Booked a room for the night. Was greeted by Michelle at the bar. Everything explained in detail. We went down for a evening meal. Food was amazing and the young lad paul was very pleasant. Location is good to find with sat nav. Atmosphere was great for what we were looking for.

Visited today (Monday) for lunch and was met with the most awful smell coming from the bins. Maybe I was unlucky with the day I picked but it didn't matter where you sat outside, the smell from the bins was terrible!
The £13.50 lunch was not £13.50... a little misleading. When paying it comes to £15.19 which was due to "fees" according to the staff serving us 🤔. Note. I picked items and drinks explicitly specified within the lunch deal.
The food and service was good, no complaints there.

A great pub in a lovely village just off the A34. We booked to stay to break up the journey on our way to the south coast. All the team were so friendly and accommodating, especially as hotels.com had messed up the booking. The team worked to find us a solution which was greatly appreciated as it was 8pm after a long day and the dog wanted out of the car!!! The rooms are super clean woth lots of small touches you dont realise you need but actually use and make the stay all that more comfortable. We also dined at the pub - the food was amazing. Lovely outdoor space too with a good choice of games to keep the kids entertained. Continental breakfast looked amazing, hubby said it was great - good quality. Would recommend and would stay again. Thanks so much 😁
