  We went out to eat here last night for my partners Grandad's birthday and we will not be returning. Myself and his nan had a roast and the plate of food we were served is honestly what I would expect if I was homeless and was being given a free meal to survive on. I cannot believe you charged us £16.99 each for them so called roast dinners. It is daylight robbery! Firstly, the portion sizes were something I have never seen before. I don't think it would have even been fit for a child's portion. The slices of meat were very thin and we only got two little pieces each. It was totally unacceptable and we were in disbelief. Secondly, the menu stated that the beef was served medium... mine was more than well done. This plate of food did not touch the sides. His nans turkey was very tough. There were a few carrots and peas, two small parsnips, the smallest ball of stuffing I have ever seen in my life that was also overcooked, tough and looked black, one Yorkshire pudding and a few so called roast potatoes that were more like mash. Everything on the plate was tasteless and made me feel quite sick after leaving. There was also a tiny black rotten vegetable on my plate that I had to move to the side. Finally, there was a dribble of gravy that didnt reach each item of the food on the plate and I could not believe we were not given a gravy jug which is just standard with a roast dinner. His Grandad ordered the steak and ale pie and this came with about 7-9 chips which is also unacceptable. My partner had ordered garlic parmasean fries with his meal and they were drowned and saturated in the oil to the point where he couldn't eat most of them. His ribs also tasted microwaved. The only thing that was worth buying was the pie on his grandads plate. We have been for lunch many times and thought the portions were small then but it seems as though they get smaller for dinner which doesn't seem right. I also had a roast here a few years ago and it was nothing like I was served last night. I'm still in shock with what we were handed. His Grandad also told the male waiter that it was his birthday when he came to take our food order and the waiter didn't even acknowledge that information nor did he say happy birthday which I personally thought was really rude especially working within the food industry. I will be in touch with your management team team to try and recover the money we have paid because we have not received the service we paid for last night and it was absolutely disgusting. I did not want to complain at the time as the birthday meal had already disappointed us enough. Food and service is way below the standards that they should be serving people and now I know why the restaurant was empty and why it will be closing.

  Enjoyable breakfast with plenty of choice. It was nice choosing exactly what I wanted and having it cooked for you. Much better than a buffet, where food sits out.

  The staff are friendly but have no idea of the bar offers. The food was ok for us but both of us would of liked more chips. As it was a lovely summer evening we were looking forward to the beer garden but it was full of litter on both sides which had created blue bottle flies which meant we had to come in. Very disappointed.

  Outside a bit dirty, ladies toilets weird and the toilet is on a step, inside is dark and my steak sauce was awful. It's ok I would say

  The tables were sticky and it stank. It took over 45 minutes just to get our food and once we got it, it was cold and tasted of literal ash. There was nothing pleasant about it. Over £100 spend on something that was barley eatible. The staff was good except for the fact that it took ages to get food. The portion size was tiny which left us still hungry after the meal. There isnt anything good to say about it Just do not go here if you want a good experience and good food for your money.
