- JBJames Bayliss1 day ago4.0We had a really enjoyable experience at Zizzi’s in Newport. Hayllei-May was a fantastic server — friendly, attentive, and nothing was ever too much trouble. She was a great representation of the brand and helped create exactly the kind of relaxed, enjoyable experience we were hoping for. The food was generally good, although a couple of dishes were a little overdone, particularly the Pollo Calabrese. That said, the service more than made up for it, and we’d definitely return.

We walked in without a booking, was greeted friendly and politely, seated in the middle of the restaurant where we could clearly see the bar. Everyone was friendly, after getting our drinks, the barman noticed that I tried to mix the unmelted ice cream into the Pineapple Colada by swirling the drink (very unsuccessfully), and came to our table to offer a straw. Aimee, our waitress was a bubbly and energetic team member who provided fabulous customer service, very caring and always checking if we needed anything else. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food fabulous, the music not too loud and there was a smell of spice / flowers in the air. Will definitely be one of our top choices for a night out!
