  I honestly wouldn't recommend this Tesco Express. The store is constantly dirty, with floors that are brown and look like they haven't been properly cleaned in ages. The shelves and freezers are also regularly half empty, making it frustrating when you just want to pick up a few essentials. One of the most annoying things is being asked for ID over and over again for an energy drink. I've shown my ID so many times at this store to every member of staff, yet I still get challenged almost every visit and was recently refused the sale. I understand staff have to follow Challenge 25, but the experience feels excessive and like I'm almost being targeted. What concerns me most, though, is the food standards. I found crisps that had been recalled due to a risk of glass contamination still on sale, which is completely unacceptable as I'd eaten the whole pack by the time I had the warning email. I've also seen out-of-date lettuce and vegetables left on the shelves. For a small Tesco store it shouldn't be hard for staff to be checking their shelves regularly. Overall, the store needs major improvements in cleanliness, stock management, and quality control. I expect much better from Tesco seeing as the prices are premium and keep going up and up.
