  I work with the Leicester GOV.UK and I will personally make it that this specific store gets continued Customer service audits going forward. I have never seen such rude/Miserable/Unfriendly staff In my entire life there is no costumer service in the store and once someone comes over eventually (for items that need authorization) they are verbally in polite and look you in the face as if it is my fault that they work there . There is no sense of training being provided to them . This applies to All the staff in that store including the management that worked on the day of 20/03/2026 when I presented the situation to him he just schrug it of attemting hide his badge.

  Worst Tesco I've ever been to Not only is the security rude, but there was a dead rat in the cereal aisle. I reported it to the staff and they shrugged it off Avoid this Tesco at all costs!!

  I am writing to formally complain about a very upsetting experience I had at your Tesco store located at 21 Western Boulevard, Leicester LE2 7HN, on 13 January 2026 at approximately 8:58 am. I am a student at De Montfort University. On the morning of the incident, I was unwell with a fever and had not eaten breakfast. While attending my class, I began to feel weak and dizzy, so I went to Tesco to buy some food. I selected pasta, a drink, a snack, and a can of Monster energy drink. At the checkout, the female cashier refused to sell me the Monster energy drink and demanded to see my ID. I did not have my physical ID with me, but I showed her clear photos of my passport and BRP on my phone. She refused to accept this and spoke to me in a very rude and disrespectful manner, which made the situation extremely distressing. What made the situation worse was that another male customer was purchasing a Monster energy drink at the same time, and she did not ask him for any ID. When I questioned this, she responded by saying, “Look at you and look at him.” I found this comment highly inappropriate, discriminatory, and offensive. If there is a policy regarding age checks, it should be applied fairly and equally to all customers. To my understanding, Monster energy drinks are not age-restricted under UK law in the same way alcohol or tobacco is, yet I was treated as if I was doing something wrong. Because of this incident, I was unable to eat properly and remained unwell throughout the day. I felt humiliated, discriminated against, and deeply upset by the way I was spoken to and treated. I expect Tesco to be a place where customers are treated with respect and fairness. I kindly ask that this incident be investigated, appropriate action be taken, and staff be reminded about professional behaviour and equal treatment of customers.
